Duties

• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment
• Conduct floor cleaning and floor care tasks such as polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Handle manual lifting of supplies and equipment safely while adhering to proper handling techniques
• Maintain the cleanliness of surfaces such as countertops, windows, fixtures, and furniture
• Use janitorial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure optimal results in all assigned areas
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service
• Follow established protocols for outdoor work environments when required

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and chemical safety practices
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and extended periods of standing or walking
• Exceptional customer service skills with clear client communication abilities
• Experience in floor care techniques including polishing and buffing surfaces
• Knowledge of outdoor work safety considerations when applicable
