Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, furniture, and fixtures, following established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to uphold the hotel’s pristine appearance.
• Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment like vacuums, mops, buffers, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
• Properly handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when necessary to move furniture or equipment without injury.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and effectively in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and chemical handling.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and manual handling throughout shifts.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a quick response during critical situations.
