Hotel Head Housekeeper

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hotel Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel cleaning operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to impeccable standards. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, laundry, and sanitation procedures
• Lead and motivate housekeeping staff to achieve high performance levels while maintaining a positive work environment
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks across all hotel areas
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to uphold cleanliness standards
• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, and customer service best practices
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and janitorial equipment to optimize efficiency and cost control

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial work within a hotel or hospitality setting with a focus on housekeeping management
• Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams in commercial or industrial cleaning environments
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management systems
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
• Effective managerial communication skills for training staff and coordinating with other departments
• Background in hospitality or hotel experience is highly preferred
• Ability to oversee complex cleaning operations including laundry services and janitorial tasks
• Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and quality assurance
