Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team for weekend shifts, working Friday through Sunday. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, noting changes in health status and reporting to appropriate personnel
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer procedures for residents with mobility challenges
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and observations
- Follow safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when necessary
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and resident rooms to promote hygiene and safety
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement personalized care plans
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home & community care preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a home health or hospice setting
- Strong observational skills for patient safety and well-being monitoring
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans and working within regulatory guidelines for senior or disability care
