Job Summary
The Home2 Suites by Hilton Oswego, NY is currently recruiting for a Housekeeping Inspector to manage day-to-day hotel operations when the Executive Housekeeper is off by ensuring the utmost highest standards of cleanliness, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards and building awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1.Responsible for the entire operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry department and the delegation of duties.
2. Provide strong leadership and is readily accessible to staff. Support a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.
3. Respond to and follow through on guest requests, concerns and problems. Ensure that excellent customer service is a hallmark of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department
4. Maintain or exceed standards of cleanliness and a consistently positive guest experience and maintaining high Overall Guest Satisfaction and Cleanliness scores
5. Conduct training and coaching sessions on chemical and equipment usage, departmental policies.
6. Assist in the training, development, empowerment, coaching and counseling of staff.
7. Assist with accurate record keeping throughout the department, including Housekeeping Boards, and tracking inventories of amenities, chemicals and other supplies to ensure items are in stock and reordered in a timely manner.
8. Supervised and conduct daily detailed inspection of guest rooms, public areas, Back of the House. Ensure compliance with hotel’s Standards of Excellence, health, sanitation standards and regulations, to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Work experience as a Housekeeping Inspector or similar role
- Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
- Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Excellent organizational and team management skills
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma is a plus
Pay: $17.00 - $17.25 per hour
