Material Handler

Material Handler – Dayton, OH

Home Run Inc. is seeking a responsible, dependable, and hardworking Material Handler to join our team based out of Dayton, Ohio.

In this role, you will be partnered with a Class A CDL driver and assist with unloading materials from a 48-foot dry van trailer. Materials will be delivered to residential locations and unloaded into garages or placed on metal racks at the curb.

This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year. Candidates must be able to dress appropriately for the elements and perform repetitive physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist CDL driver with unloading materials at customer locations

• Safely move and handle products weighing up to 100 pounds

• Lift, bend, squat, reach, and perform other physical movements throughout the day

• Maintain a professional attitude with customers and team members

• Follow all company safety procedures and policies

• Report directly to the assigned driver

Travel Requirements

• Start and end each workday in Dayton, Ohio

• Travel throughout Ohio and Indiana, including Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indianapolis

• One overnight trip to Chicago each week

• Hotel accommodations and per diem are provided by Home Run Inc. for overnight travel

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required

• Dependability and punctuality are essential

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly

• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Start time: 5:00 AM, this can vary based on driver hours.

• 10-hour shifts

• Full-time position

• Most weekends off

• Expected to work 40 hours per week
