Position Overview

The Sales Consultant is responsible for conducting in‑home sales consultations with homeowners, assessing security needs, and recommending customized ADT security and smart home solutions. This is a performance‑driven, customer‑focused role requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and consistent execution.

Sales Consultants are provided with qualified leads and are expected to represent Home Integrity Solutions and the ADT brand with integrity and professionalism.

This role reports directly to a Market Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled, in‑home sales appointments with prospective customers
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate ADT security and smart home solutions
• Present products, pricing, and service options clearly and accurately
• Close sales and consistently achieve a minimum performance expectation of 8 sales per month
• Build trust and deliver a high‑quality customer experience throughout the sales process
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity, follow‑ups, and customer documentation
• Generate referrals and contribute to ongoing market growth
• Represent Home Integrity Solutions with professionalism, enthusiasm, and ethical sales practices

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferred (outside sales, in‑home sales, or direct sales a plus)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and performance driven
• Customer‑focused mindset with a desire to help homeowners protect their property and families
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel locally

Compensation & Earning Potential

• $50,000 – $150,000 per year, based on performance
• Commission‑based compensation with uncapped earning potential
• W‑2, full‑time employment
• Qualified leads provided
• Ongoing training, leadership support, and coaching
• Clear career path into Market Manager and Sales Leadership roles

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Field‑based role with regular in‑home customer appointments and limited administrative work
• Regular local travel within Pittsburgh and surrounding markets using a personal vehicle
• Work hours may include evenings and weekends based on customer availability and sales schedules
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday, including extended driving and standing during appointments
• Regular use of a mobile device, tablet, laptop, and sales presentation tools
• Frequent verbal and written communication with customers, leadership, and internal teams
• Ability to lift or carry materials up to 15 pounds as needed
