What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Caregiver Needed ASAP – Make a Real Difference in Stratford, Iowa position at Home Instead?
Shifts Available:

Sunday: 8 am to 5 pm
Some caregiving jobs are tasks.
This one is a calling.
We are urgently seeking a compassionate, dependable Care Professional to support an elderly couple in their longtime family farm home in Stratford, Iowa.
Our client is a gentle, dignified woman who spent years working at Iowa State University and helping build a life rooted in family, hard work, and commitment. Today, she requires full bed-level care and daily assistance with repositioning, personal care, and transfers using a Hoyer lift.
But this position is about more than physical care.
It’s about preserving comfort, dignity, and connection.
Every day, she is transferred to her recliner so she can spend meaningful time beside her husband — her lifelong partner and devoted primary caregiver. That moment matters deeply to both of them. Your presence allows their home to continue feeling like home.
Her husband remains very involved in her care and should always be treated as a valued partner in the caregiving team. The right caregiver will understand how important reassurance, communication, and consistency are in helping both husband and wife feel supported.
This is not a fast-paced facility environment. This is one home, one family, and an opportunity to provide meaningful one-on-one care that truly matters.
Weekend coverage is urgently needed.
