We are seeking a reliable, compassionate caregiver to provide in-home support for an individual living with dementia in Lancaster, PA. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in home care, memory care, or nursing home settings who is calm, dependable, and able to assist with both personal care and physical support needs.
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- $22.00 per hour
- In-home position in Lancaster, PA
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Provide toileting assistance with dignity and respect
- Assist with mobility, transfers, walking support, and other physical caregiving needs as needed
- Offer companionship and cognitive engagement for a client living with dementia
- Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral episodes such as agitation, confusion, or resistance to care
- Accompany client to medical appointments and community outings
- Follow care instructions and established daily routines as directed by the family
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a nursing home, memory care, or home care setting required
- Experience working with dementia-related behaviors, including agitation, wandering, and sundowning
- Must be comfortable providing hands-on personal care and physical assistance
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
- CNA or HHA certification is a plus, but not required
