Housekeeper/Laundry Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our hospitality team. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks.
• Use appropriate chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation standards.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including inventory management of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or moving cleaning supplies while practicing manual handling safety procedures.
• Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning methods including floor care, vacuuming, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; knowledge of SDS is preferred.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
