Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques
- Handle laundry operations efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and precision
- Utilize chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain spotless surfaces throughout the hotel
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring all areas meet health regulations and hotel policies
- Assist with janitorial tasks and industrial cleaning projects as needed to uphold cleanliness standards across the property
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including safety protocols related to chemical handling and heavy lifting tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial/janitorial roles within hospitality settings
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while complying with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction and teamwork
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols essential for maintaining a secure environment
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail combined with organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
