Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant position provides administrative support to the management team and Senior Office Manager while helping maintain consistent administrative systems across Head Start program sites. This role assists with scheduling, documentation, communication, and general office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support including filing, data entry, scanning, copying, and document management.
- Support leadership and program staff with scheduling, correspondence, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with tracking office supplies, requests, and administrative workflows.
- Help coordinate meetings, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning and administrative processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative experience required.
- Strong technology literacy and experience with computer software required. (i.e., Office 365, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel spreadsheets, Word (including formatting & mail merge) required. PowerPoint experience a plus.
- Associates degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- One (1) year experience in an office setting preferred.
- Experience in Head Start, early childhood education, or human services preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Starting Pay: $20.90 per hour
