What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Holy Spirit School?
Holy Spirit School is seeking a social worker beginning in the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.
Requirements:
An understanding of the Catholic Church doctrines and a willingness to work within its teachings.
Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Master’s degree in related field.
Familiarity with common social, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by students. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in practice.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students.
Develop and implement intervention strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create comprehensive support plans for students.
Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and appropriate services.
Facilitate communication between the school and students’ families to ensure cohesive support.
Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to provide additional services to students.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress. Adhere to school policies, procedures, and educational laws.
Serve as a member of the school’s Student Accommodations Team
