What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Assistant position at Holly Springs?
Holly Springs Parks & Recreation is recruiting responsible and team oriented candidates to work in the fast-paced Athletics Division as the part-time Athletic Assistant. This position will support the full-time Athletics programming team in the planning and management of Athletics activities and leagues. Starting hourly range is $16-$20/hr.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing athletic equipment and supply inventory
- Routine inspection and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities
- Assisting with program development and league management duties
- Assisting with seasonal staff training and management
- Supervising sporting events to ensure rule compliance, safety, and behavioral management
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Minimum requirements:
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public
- Strong knowledge of sports rules
- 1-2 years of experience in a sports related role
- Customer service experience
Additional requirements:
- Requires a drug test and background check prior to employment
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid NC driver’s license
