About this opportunity:

The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily financial and accounting operations for the company, leading, and assisting in the improvement and maintenance of the quality of the financial close, oversight and development of the accounting team and accounts payable teams and ad-hoc projects as needed.

This position reports to the VP of Finance at HOLLY HUNT and works closely with other finance teams, including business risk, tax, and corporate accounting.

This position typically has contact with employees at all levels of the organization. It also has direct contact with the company’s accountants, vendors, and other external customers.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and manage the monthly close process.
  • Manage, lead, train and mentor accounting and accounts payable teams.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to gather information and prepare reports for financial, statutory and application control audits.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies and investigate root causes.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and procurements teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Entity Consolidation reporting including consolidating international entities and submission to corporate entity including reporting to related public company requirements.
  • Reporting and communication for monthly results to all levels of the business.
  • Interpret accounting results, identify problems, research solutions and make recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree required, degree in accounting or finance and CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of professional accounting
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing a team of accounting or finance professionals.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with confidential information.

A starting compensation range for this role is $84,013.25 - $115,000.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
