Simpson Race Products- Project Manager

Simpson Race Products, a brand of Holley Performance Products, seeks a Project Manager for a full-time role within the Safety Business Unit in New Braunfels, Texas.  This position will support the projects for all of Simpson Race Products locations in New Braunfels, TX, Mooresville, NC, and Hawthorne, CA. 

Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed):

• Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, and expenditures 
• Creating and collecting gantt charts, and project charters 
• Create and manage project plans. 
• Define project scope, schedules, goals and deliverables. 
• Allocate resources and monitor progress. 
• Align project objectives with company goals. 
• Ensure project team is clear on objectives. 
• Assist project team with design and development tasks when needed. 
• Identify issues and possible resolutions. 
• Manage project risks and track progress. 
• Manage all documentation. 
• Manage project budgets. 
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Foster partnerships between all departments.  

Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience required):

• Bachelor’s degree preferred 
• Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent required 
• 2 to 5 years product management experience in a technical environment 
• Experience with strategic planning and risk management. 
• Proficiency in project management software tools 
• Critical thinking and problem solving abilities 
• Proven decision-making and leadership capabilities 
• Excellent conflict resolution skills 
• Adaptable and able to tolerate stress 
• Thrives in a collaborative environment 
• Strong analytical and organization skills 

Ideal Profile/ Qualifications

• Industry experience or passion for the industry. Understands industry trends, competitors, and consumers. 
• Drive. Has a good track record of taking initiative and intelligent risks. Is willing to get hands dirty and make sure the job gets done. 
• Analytical and financial aptitude. Has experience setting objectives and measurement systems. 
• Vision and implementation. Excited to put “his or her stamp” on the department and take ownership 
• Team Player. Able to work with other various departments to complete important cross-functional projects 
• Leadership and Communication skills. Very strong written and oral communication skills. Has successfully managed projects and is able to inspire teammates. 

Travel Requirements

Must be able to travel as needed between facilities located in New Braunfels, TX, Mooresville, NC and Hawthorne, CA. Occasionally, to Nashville, TN/Bowling Green, KY for trainings/meetings.
