Int'l Tax and Private Wealth Services Associate

The Miami office of Holland & Knight has an immediate opportunity for an international tax attorney for its Private Wealth Services practice group with 4-6 years of experience in advising foreign and domestic clients on U.S. federal income, gift, and estate tax matters.

Core Responsibilities Include

• Focus on pre-immigration tax planning
• Drafting of domestic and foreign trust instruments for international clients (priority)
• Cross-border investments and formation, and oversight and reorganization of complex international structures
• International information returns, streamline filings, and withholding tax compliance
• LL.M. in Taxation is required
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills preferred
• Admission to the Florida Bar or eligible to become licensed/transfer
• Relocation to Florida is acceptable
• Immediate transferable skills
• A strong academic background
• Excellent research and writing skills, detail oriented
• Must have a deep commitment to client service
• The ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize matters
• Strong communication skills, and the desire to continuously learn new things
