Project Manager - Model Lifecycle

Job Title: Project Manager/Risk – Model Lifecycle (MMLC)

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid 3 days a week)

Duration: 6-12 months contract

Overview:

Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its Model Management Lifecycle (MMLC) process. This role will work closely with model development teams to plan, track, and govern the progression of financial and analytical models through a structured lifecycle, similar to an SDLC stage-gate process but with a model risk and governance focus.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Project Management experience (less may be considered for a strong candidate)
• Strong planning and organizational skills using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
• Close attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and pivoting as priorities shift
• Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to manage and guide cross-functional teams
• Strong experience with risk management and issue resolution
• Familiarity with standard project management methodologies
• Comfortable analyzing and working with data in Excel
• Finance or financial services experience strongly preferred
