Duties

- Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and cash handling to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage employee orientation, scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to maintain smooth store functioning.
- Implement sales strategies, monitor retail math metrics, and analyze sales data to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing, pricing adjustments, and inventory control to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and regulatory requirements through regular supervision and audits.
- Foster a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent communication skills with customers and staff alike while handling customer inquiries professionally.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations including POS systems, cashiering, inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and develop talent through training & development initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, sales management, inventory control, and retail sales techniques.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with phone etiquette expertise for customer interactions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on store goals.
- Previous assistant manager or shift supervisor experience is preferred; leadership qualities are essential for success in this role.
