Location: Holiday Inn Express, Northeast Pennsylvania
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time Available (Part-Time must be avilable minumm 3 days a week)
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / Housekeeping Supervisor

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
• Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, bedding, and other laundry items according to hotel standards.
• Maintain proper separation and handling of linens to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and quality control.
• Monitor linen condition and report damaged or stained items to housekeeping management.
• Maintain accurate linen counts and assist with inventory control and par level management.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensure chemicals and detergents are used properly and safely following manufacturer and hotel guidelines.
• Assist the housekeeping team with linen delivery, stocking, and collection as needed.
• Provide occasional housekeeping assistance including room cleaning or deep cleaning when required by business levels.
• Respond promptly to requests from management regarding linen needs or operational priorities.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with team members.
• Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Owner, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Housekeeping Management.

Reports to:

Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Executive Housekeeper / General Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and hotel procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a warm, humid laundry environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as folding and sorting.

OTHER:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
