What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Attendant position at HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS &SUITES?
Must be able to work 5:30AM-11AM Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
REQUIRED TASKS: Position will provide exceptional customer service and involve getting to know guests to obtain sales leads for the property while performing specified duties.
Handling the set up and break down of the breakfast buffet/social hour
Ensuring food is ready and available at all times
Advise management regarding inventory levels
Receive, organize, and put away deliveries as needed
Mop and sweep the lobby floor around buffet and pantry
Vacuum under tables and chairs in the dining area
Wash tables and chairs in the dining area
Clean all utensils / dishes
Clean and flush juice and coffee units
Rotate all food in freezer & refrigerator / date new products
Be sure all cabinets are stocked daily
Wine and Beer are stored in a lock cabinet
Inventory is maintained on all food and beverage products
All cupboards are cleaned as needed not to exceed one week
Counters in breakfast bar are wiped down and crumb free
Empty all trash in pantry and dining areas
Follow quarterly deep clean procedures
Must be in neat, clean uniform with name tag
Follow all policies & procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Follow all IHG Brand Standards as well as company safety policies and procedures
Any other duties/tasks as assigned by your supervisor
Complete all brand required training within the time frame allotted, including annual renewals.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and directions.
Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Ability to work scheduled hours, including some evening hours if needed
Ability to help in any other department if needed, duties may include taking out trash, mopping, and/or making beds
Maintain a professional attitude to all Guests, associates, and vendors
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to use arms to load and unload carts for breakfast/social hour
NECK – Bending and twisting on occasion
AUDITORY - Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and directions. Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor in English. Normal conversation.
HEARING - Ability to hear emergency alarms, telephone, conversation.
VISION - Legal normal vision with or without accommodation.
ARMS - Reaching, bending arms, light carrying, pushing, and pulling.
HANDS - Finger dexterity, grasping
TRUNK - Bending and twisting
LEGS - Normal balance, crouching or kneeling
