Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Safety & Cleanliness
Know and be able to execute Emergency Procedures.
Practice safety standards at all times and keep the property safe for guests and fellow employees.
Report any injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
Report defective equipment to management immediately.
Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers.
Always use glove and goggles when handling chemicals.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with hotel standards.
o Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedule.
o Deep clean the entire laundry area once per week.
o Sweep and mop laundry floor daily.
o Clean exterior of all machines in laundry room daily.
o Clean dryer lint Screens after every load.
Maintain and clean laundry
o Separate Terry, Linen and Rags to be washed.
Always use gloves.
Shake out and always look for anything that may cause injury.
o Ensure all items are free of stains and tears prior to washing.
o Pre-spot stained items before washing.
o Load and unload washers and dryers being careful not to overload machines.
o Fold linen in accordance with established procedures.
o Fold and stack clean towels
o Remove stained or torn items
o Place items in appropriate storage location
Hotel Operations Deliveron Exceptional Guest Service o Greet every guest with a smile at 10 feet and a verbal greeting at 5 feet. o Know and live the mission and values of the hotel brand and company. o Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times. o Apply appropriate problem handling method(s) to quickly and efficiently resolve any guest issues.
o Communicate with coworkers in all departments to meet needs of guests.
Report any equipment malfunction to Maintenance or Manager Immediately.
Check/ refill washer chemicals, as needed.
Assist with or preform linen inventory as required.
Effectively operate and maintain the hotel equipment related to daily tasks
o Vacuums
o Washer
o Driers
Be a Team Player o Perform basic maintenance tasks (plunge toilet, work television remote, etc.).
o Clean guestrooms during peak period if needed.
o Know how to perform House Person duties to standard if assistance is needed.
Complete shift work checklist as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
