Job Summary: IHG Holiday Inn Express & Suites Macclenny is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Room Attendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This position requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and an ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. **THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE ( 35 HRS AVG PER WEEK)
* STARTING WAGE $15; IF STILL ON BOARD AFTER TRAINGS WAGE IS THEN SET AT $15.50 HOURLY
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, adhering to established standards of cleanliness.
- Manage housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure all linens and towels are clean, fresh, and well-organized.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional services or items.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or related fields such as hotel or industrial cleaning is preferred. 1 year preferred in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and custodial practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
