Overview

Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general upkeep and mechanical components
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately
- Perform repairs such as general repair, electrical troubleshooting, and residential painting to maintain property standards
- Operate tools including ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults and ensure proper functioning
- Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Supervise or assist with small-scale projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for property upkeep
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with residents, tenants, or clients
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities to guide team members or contractors when needed
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for electrical testing
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role
- Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC and general repair techniques is essential
- Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
