Housekeeping Support Attendant / Houseperson

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Canton is seeking a dependable and organized Housekeeping Support Attendant / Houseperson to assist our housekeeping department.

This position helps ensure that room attendants have the supplies and support needed to prepare guest rooms efficiently and maintain hotel cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate is proactive, punctual, organized, and able to follow daily priorities.

Responsibilities

• Report to work at 7:00 AM as scheduled.
• Prepare and fully stock housekeeping carts for morning room attendants by 7:30 AM.
• Prepare additional carts for late-start room attendants by 10:00 AM.
• Remove dirty linen and trash from vacant checkout rooms released for cleaning.
• Transport dirty linen and trash to designated collection areas.
• Deliver towels, linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies to housekeepers.
• Assist with making beds after priority cart preparation and checkout-room preparation duties are completed.
• Maintain clean and organized housekeeping storage rooms and supply areas.
• Communicate supply shortages, damages, and maintenance concerns to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Follow hotel safety, cleanliness, and brand standards.
• Assist with other assigned housekeeping support duties.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping or houseperson experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, walk, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred.

Compensation and 90-Day Evaluation

Starting pay is $10.50 per hour.

All new employees complete a 90-day introductory period. At the end of the period, a performance evaluation will be conducted to determine eligibility for an increase to $11.00 per hour.

Raises are based on satisfactory performance and management approval and are not automatic.
