Wage: $27 - $30
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Assistant to support our payroll operations. This role is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and assisting with benefits administration.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for 400 employees
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation
- Support administration of benefits deductions, garnishments, and taxes
- Ensure compliance with Washington State labor laws, including paid sick leave and overtime requirements
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare payroll reports for internal use and audits
- Assist with year-end processes, as needed (W-2s, audits, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3 years of payroll experience, required
- Familiarity with payroll software (ADP, Paycom, or similar systems)
- Basic understanding of payroll laws and regulations
- Experience with self-funded insurance plans, a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Positive team player
- Demonstrated integrity on personal as well as professional level;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with a high level of accuracy.
