Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of the department, the Patient Scheduling Manager is responsible for management and oversight of one or more of the following areas: Centralized Patient Scheduling Team, the Triage team, the Surgery scheduling team, Patient Access team, and the Call Center Operations.
Working directly with Patients, Physicians and their support staff, Payors, IT and Revenue Cycle for the delivery of services to include but not limited to: appointment and surgery scheduling, order entry, registration, verification of insurance, price estimates, collection of patient payments, the Patient Experience and communicating with internal departments.
Managing a team of Clinic Schedulers, Scheduling Coordinators, and/or Triage RN’s, the Patient Scheduling Manager leads by example, has inspiring coaching skills, has the business acumen and political savvy to work through both formal and informal channels to get things done, cultivates internal and external interdepartmental relationships for the maximum delivery of service. Ensures regulatory compliance of applicable licensure for team.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with increasing responsibility in healthcare management
- Working knowledge of front-end revenue cycle processes (i.e., registration, scheduling, insurance verification, admitting, and/or cash collections in a healthcare setting)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Working knowledge of call center operations and systems to support call center metrics and performance. (InContact, AVAYA)
