Division Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Division Manager to oversee all lines of business within a low-voltage technologies division, including structured cabling, fiber splicing, security systems, and related services. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for division performance, including profit and loss (P&L), sales, estimating, project management, safety, and day-to-day operations.

Performance is measured through established HR evaluation criteria for Division Managers, Area Managers, and Regional Area Managers, as well as the Division’s Balanced Scorecard and annual office audit results.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of telecommunications, data, and physical security network infrastructure, along with a proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting business growth, and ensuring successful project execution across the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce the division’s teammate safety program, including training, inspections, regulatory reporting, and policy compliance.
• Ensure all products and services meet or exceed quality expectations.
• Develop and manage the division’s annual sales plan, operating budget, and business plan, providing regular performance reporting.
• Maintain accountability for accurate financial reporting for the division, in coordination with centralized accounting and shared services.
• Lead and manage the sales process, including lead generation, funnel management, estimating support, and proposal development.
• Represent the company professionally with customers, partners, and suppliers.
• Lead teammate development through performance evaluations, coaching, and continuing education.
• Partner with centralized fleet and asset teams to ensure proper equipment availability and maintenance.
• Support job walks, scope reviews, estimating, and operational execution as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or telecommunications preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications, data/network infrastructure, or physical security environments.
• Proven leadership experience as an Operations Manager, Division Manager, or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optic installation, security, and wireless networks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and operational performance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Strong desire to lead teams and succeed in the low-voltage technologies business.

Preferred Qualifications

• RCDD certification.
• Established local market presence and relationships in the Tampa / Plant City area.
• Experience building or expanding a regional operation or market.
• Business development mindset with operational discipline.

Compensation and Benefits

• Target salary: $135-140K, commensurate with experience and education.
• Additional compensation may include performance bonus, profit sharing, and leadership-level incentives.
