Bankruptcy Attorney
Our client, a leading multi‑state financial services law firm, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join their National Bankruptcy team in Nevada. This role focuses on representing institutional mortgage lenders and servicers in Chapters 7, 13, and 11, with an emphasis on protecting and enforcing secured‑creditor rights throughout the full lifecycle of a bankruptcy case
Key Responsibilities
- Represent creditors in Nevada Bankruptcy Courts, handling matters such as proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan review and objections, loan‑modification oversight, and post‑petition compliance
- Develop and execute end‑to‑end legal strategies that align with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and client objectives
- Provide clear, timely guidance to clients on complex bankruptcy and servicing issues to minimize risk and maximize recoveries
- Manage a high‑volume caseload in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strong court‑facing and borrower‑facing communication
Attend hearings, mediations, and related proceedings throughout the State of Nevada
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of bankruptcy practice experience, including at least 1 year representing creditors in Nevada Bankruptcy Courts
- Active member of the Nevada Bar in good standing
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to evolving client and court needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with technology‑driven legal systems
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of independently managing files from start to finish
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to quality, problem‑solving, and positive team engagement
