TELLER SUPERVISOR
This position supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving and paying out money and keeping records of transactions by performing the following essential duties. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assign duties and work schedules to workers to ensure efficient functioning of department.
- Approve employee timesheets and time off request on company timekeeping system.
- Interview and hire employees.
- Appraise employee performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Maintain harmony among workers.
- Train employees in customer service and banking procedures.
- Assist staff, when necessary, in handling difficult transactions or problem accounts.
- Examine Teller reports of daily transactions for accuracy.
- Ensure supply of money for financial institution's needs based on legal requirements and business demand. Includes handling large bags of coins.
- Allow customers access to safe deposit boxes, following specified procedures.
- Monitor and reviews financial institution's security procedures and control access to vault.
- Verify and balance vault and ATM cash.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Perform teller drawer audits.
- Serve as a teller, performing all teller duties including maintaining an accurate balancing performance.
- Open new accounts.
- Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, and trust and investment services.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Cash handling experience.
Basic computer skills.
