Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools and power tools such as airless paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, and other equipment.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
- Perform construction estimating tasks to assess material needs and project timelines for residential and commercial painting jobs.
- Execute specialized techniques including industrial painting, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform drywall finishing or framing carpentry as needed for seamless project completion.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to scaffolding, welding safety measures, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure consistent color matching based on color theory principles and client preferences.
- Utilize hand tools such as chisels or putty knives for detail work or repairs during renovation projects.
- Assist with schematics interpretation for complex projects involving renovation or remodeling tasks.
Experience / Qualifications
- No prior experience required — we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills in painting and construction.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced work environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and on active construction sites (training provided).
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including painting, prep work, and general labor.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills are a plus but not required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful job site.
