Position Description:

• Perform repair and maintenance on semi-trailers, including structural and mechanical components
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure trailers meet safety standards
• Diagnose and repair air brake systems (lines, chambers, valves, ABS components)
• Perform welding and fabrication on both aluminum and carbon steel components
• Troubleshoot and repair 12-volt electrical systems, including lights, wiring, and connections
• Mount, dismount, and repair tires as needed
• Operate a yard dog truck to move trailers safely within the facility
• Perform general maintenance/mechanical duties
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repairs and timelines

Requirements:

• Experience working on semi-trailers or heavy-duty equipment preferred
• Proficiency in aluminum and carbon steel welding
• Knowledge of air brake systems and trailer components
• Ability to perform and document DOT inspections
• Experience with 12V electrical systems and diagnostics and repair
• Ability to safely operate a yard dog truck
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills
• Previous shop or fleet maintenance experience preferred
• Class A-CDL (not required, but helpful)
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Good time management skills required.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds required.
• Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
