Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Manual dexterity for blending, and hand-finishing operations on complex casting geometries.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions for finishing requirements.
- Visual acuity for surface finish inspection and visual defect identification.
- Ability to operate multiple finishing tools and equipment types.
- Attention to detail for dimensional verification and traveler documentation.
- Environment: Finishing cell production area; metal dust, abrasive particles, and grinding noise present.
- Physical demands: Extended standing; repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions for grinding and finishing; lifting castings up to 35 lbs. Vision – 20/20 or correctable.
- PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, safety-toed shoes, and abrasion gloves.
