Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials and products, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and shipping instructions, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning, labeling, and data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance as required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff, logistics teams, and internal departments to resolve issues and optimize processes.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality control issues to supervisors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
