How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and manage project execution plans to achieve project goals and meet customer expectations.
- Maintain overall project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate updates to support successful project delivery.
- Coordinate resource planning and utilization across internal teams and subcontracted partners.
- Partner with project stakeholders to support project-specific safety planning and safe execution practices.
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, forecasts, and performance tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project risks and opportunities, implementing actions that support project performance and business outcomes.
- Communicate project status, progress, risks, and financial performance to customers and stakeholders through regular reporting.
- Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams to support procurement planning, subcontracting activities, supplier engagement, and change order management.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, or a related field with 8 years of experience in large, complex EPC project management from initiation through execution and closeout.
- Experience managing engineering, procurement and construction EPC projects delivering power systems, power delivery, utility, transmission, distribution, substation, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience developing and managing project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and project performance metrics.
- Understanding of project contracts, terms and conditions, and project-related risk management practices.
- Experience working with procurement, subcontracting, supplier coordination, and project delivery stakeholders.
- Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasts, revenue forecasts, cash flow, earned value management systems (EVMS), and project performance reporting.
- Experience delivering turnkey substation projects is an advantage; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical, and business skills with the ability to collaborate, negotiate, solve complex problems, and support customer satisfaction.
