Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or related field (or equivalent qualification per CLIA requirements).
- Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program.
- ASCP certification (MLS or categorical) required within one year of hire.
- Strong problem-solving, technical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing on biological specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments; perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Conduct quality control procedures, document results, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Act as a knowledge resource by answering inquiries and ensuring accurate communication with healthcare providers.
- Input and verify data in laboratory computer systems; ensure accuracy of patient results.
- Train and assess competencies of new staff and students.
- Complete required continuing education and maintain professional development.
- Provide guidance to team members in the absence of a supervisor.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
