Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist II (MLS/MLT) to join our laboratory team in Fostoria, OH. The MLS/MLT will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests to assist physicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. This role requires strong analytical skills, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank.
- Analyze test results, validate data accuracy, and report findings to medical staff.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow established protocols, quality control procedures, and safety standards.
- Document all laboratory activities, test results, and quality assurance data.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Participate in training, continuing education, and competency assessments.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT), or related field; Associate degree for MLT with experience considered.
- Certification: ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national certification (MLS/MLT).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
