Overview
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the development, design, construction, and execution of utility‐scale wind generation projects. This role provides on‐site engineering expertise and plays a key part in ensuring project delivery aligns with technical specifications, quality standards, and schedule expectations.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with EPC processes, strong technical problem‐solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors and cross‐functional project teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform design reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements, owner specifications, and applicable standards
- Manage EPC submittal, transmittal, and RFI processes
- Provide on‐site engineering support during construction and commissioning activities
- Support testing, system verification, and project closeout activities
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Monitor construction progress and provide technical input to support project execution
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Identify risks or issues and proactively recommend solutions
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting utility‐scale renewable energy projects (wind preferred)
- Strong knowledge of EPC processes, including submittals, RFIs, and document control
- Experience performing engineering design reviews and ensuring compliance with standards
- Ability to support construction, commissioning, and testing activities on site
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a field‐based, project environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wind generation projects or similar utility‐scale infrastructure
- Background in engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, or civil
- Experience working with contractors and multi‐disciplinary project teams
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects
