Overview
We are seeking a Field Engineer II to support large‑scale single‑cycle combustion turbine projects within the energy sector. This is a highly field‑based role focused on engineering coordination, RFI management, and construction/startup support during project execution.
This position offers the opportunity to work on major power generation projects from construction through commissioning, collaborating closely with EPC partners, engineering teams, and equipment manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Act as a field‑based engineering resource supporting construction and startup activities
- Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs), including engineering transmittals and submittals
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with EPC contractors and internal project teams to resolve technical issues
- Track open engineering items and drive timely resolution
- Support commissioning and startup activities in the field
- Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, field teams, and engineering groups
- Interface with equipment manufacturers and external stakeholders as required
- Ensure adherence to project processes, safety standards, and documentation procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline
- Experience in power generation, energy, or heavy industrial construction environments
- Hands‑on experience with RFI processes and EPC project workflows
- Proven ability to review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Prior experience working in field or construction settings
- Proficiency with SharePoint or similar document control systems
- Strong understanding of document transmittal and engineering workflow processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently in the field with strong attention to detail
