Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support capital transmission projects within a regulated utility environment. This role will serve as the internal owner of project scope, working closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale infrastructure or utility projects and be comfortable navigating complex organizations while driving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from early planning and initiation through construction and close-out
- Serve as the internal owner of project scope, ensuring alignment on schedule, budget, and deliverables
- Coordinate closely with EPC contractors responsible for engineering and construction execution
- Partner with cost management teams for budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Work with scheduling teams to maintain timelines and milestone tracking Prepare and deliver executive-level status reports and project updates
- Communicate effectively across internal stakeholders and external partners
- Monitor risks, resolve issues, and ensure overall project performance
Day-to-Day Activities
- Gather project updates from EPC partners
- Track financials, forecasts, and budgets
- Coordinate scheduling and milestone progress
- Develop status reporting for leadership
- Collaborate across cross-functional stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience (8 preferred)
- Experience working in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) model
- Background in utility, transmission, or large-scale linear infrastructure projects (e.g., pipelines, roads)
- Proven ability to manage full project lifecycle (initiation through closeout preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated utility environments, especially electric transmission
- Familiarity with:
- SAP
- SharePoint
- Forecasting tools (e.g., TamCasting or similar)
- Microsoft Office suite
- PMP certification (preferred)
- Engineering background or Professional Engineer (PE) license (nice to have
