We're looking for a Buying Assistant to join a leading global sportswear brand's Footwear Merchandising team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in footwear or apparel buying, merchandising, product creation, or retail who is passionate about consumer products and market trends.
📍 Location: Beaverton, OR (Onsite at PHK | Fridays Work from Home)
📅 Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities
✔ Support the Footwear Merchandising team with buying and merchandising activities.
✔ Organize work and business systems to support merchandising initiatives.
✔ Monitor market trends and consumer insights.
✔ Analyze retail performance metrics including Sell-Through, Turn, ASP, and UPT.
✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product and merchandising strategies.
Required Qualifications
✅ 1–2 years of experience in:
- Footwear Buying
- Apparel Buying
- Retail Buying
- Merchandising
- Product Creation
- Retail or Digital Commerce
✅ Strong understanding of retail performance metrics:
- Sell-Through
- Turn
- ASP
- UPT
✅ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
✅ bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred
- Previous experience with a leading global sportswear brand is a plus.
- Local candidates in the Beaverton/Portland area.
- Ability to work onsite.
