Director, Transformation & Strategy
Private Equity–Backed Professional Services Organization | Dallas, TX / Hybrid
A leading private equity–backed professional services organization is seeking a high-impact Director, Transformation & Strategy to help shape, prioritize, and execute enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer, this role sits at the center of strategy, analytics, and execution, with a mandate to drive measurable and sustained value creation across the business.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an analytically rigorous operator who can translate strategic ambition into executed results, embed performance discipline across initiatives, and partner closely with executive leadership to accelerate change at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation Leadership
- Support the definition and advancement of the organization’s enterprise transformation agenda, ensuring initiatives are well-prioritized, financially quantified, and outcome-driven.
- Act as a hands-on initiative leader with full accountability for execution and results, not just oversight.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable programs, ensuring disciplined execution and accountability across teams.
- Strengthen transformation capabilities by embedding best-in-class execution standards, KPI discipline, and value realization practices.
Strategy, Analytics & Value Management
- Own value identification, financial impact modeling, KPI development, and benefits tracking across transformation initiatives.
- Ensure all key initiatives are supported by strong business cases, aligned assumptions, and clearly defined success metrics.
- Monitor performance through dashboards, analytics, and structured reviews, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Promote data-driven decision-making and reinforce a culture of accountability and transparency.
Executive Partnership & Governance
- Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to identify, structure, and execute high-impact strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by translating complex data and trade-offs into clear, actionable insights.
- Lead executive forums, governance meetings, and operating reviews to provide visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment while maintaining execution speed and minimizing unnecessary complexity.
Leadership & Influence
- Coach and develop junior team members, setting high expectations for analytical rigor, communication, and professionalism.
- Influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams to adopt data-driven practices without relying on direct authority.
- Operate within a flexible, shared-resource model, contributing across initiatives to maximize overall impact.
Key Qualifications
Experience & Background
- 7 years of progressive experience in management consulting, strategy, transformation, private equity, investment banking, or similar roles.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-level strategy or transformation initiatives from concept through execution and measurable results.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and lead complex, cross-functional programs in matrixed environments.
Analytical & Financial Expertise
- Strong capabilities in financial modeling, business case development, and quantitative analysis.
- Experience designing and managing KPI frameworks and performance management systems.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and detailed execution levels.
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and compelling narratives.
- Strong project and program management capabilities in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to drive outcomes through influence.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, economics, engineering, analytics, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance tracking.
- Strong PowerPoint skills for executive-level presentations.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with enterprise analytics platforms, BI tools, and reporting systems.
- Exposure to automation tools and AI-driven analytics is a plus.
Location & Work Model
- Hybrid role based in the Dallas / Plano area.
- Expected in-office presence of approximately 3–4 days per week.
- Approximately 10% travel required.
