The UniFirst Production Team Partner – Garment Inspector & Hanger visually inspects uniforms for damage (tears, stains, holes), ensures they pass a 20-point quality check, and hangs them for steam tunnel processing. This is a full-time, labor-intensive production role requiring standing for 8-hour shifts, high attention to detail, and adherence to safety/HACCP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection: Visually check garments for stains, holes, tears, and overall quality, ensuring all items pass the UniFirst 20-point inspection.
- Garment Handling: Count and place garments on hangers for steam tunnel processing.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety, HACCP, and medical guidelines.
- Reporting: Notify supervisors of damaged garments requiring repair or replacement
The UniFirst Production Team Partner - Linen Bagger & Folder role involves inspecting, folding, and packaging linen products (towels, wipers, cloths) to meet quality standards. This is a 40-hour per week, 5-day, weekday-only production role focusing on efficiency and safety (HACCP/medical guidelines). The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Production & Folding: Folding towels, linens, and garments efficiently.
- Quality Inspection: Checking products for tears, holes, stains, or damage.
- Packaging: Bundling, bagging, and tagging products to company standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, including HACCP and medical guidelines.
- Teamwork: Working with team members to meet production goals.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school education or GED preferred.
