We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Legal Assistant who shares these values and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients while building a career in the legal field.

Position Overview

As a Bilingual Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both our clients and our legal team. You will work directly with Spanish and English speaking clients, helping them understand the Virginia workers’ compensation process and ensuring their information is accurately documented and communicated.

This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing client interaction with administrative legal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and empathetically with Spanish and English-speaking clients, both verbally and in writing
• Translate accurately between Spanish and English during phone calls, client meetings, and written communications
• Assist with client intakes, documenting information clearly and thoroughly
• Maintain consistent communication with existing clients regarding their cases
• Prepare, type, scan, and organize legal documents and client files
• Utilize case management software and follow established firm processes
• Support attorneys and team members to ensure efficient and effective case handling
• Uphold the firm’s values by treating all clients and coworkers with respect, integrity, and professionalism

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients who may be injured, stressed, or uncertain
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; we do not sponsor work visas

Previous legal experience is helpful but not required. We are committed to training the right person who is eager to learn and grow.
