Insurance Verification and Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Tampa, 33614 – This position is onsite
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: Hours can range weekly depending on surgery schedule: Must be open; Mon to fri 7:30am-4:30pm, 8-5pm, 9-6 or 10am-7pm est).
Dress Code: Gray or Black Scrubs
Job description:
- Verify Insurance Coverage: Confirm patient health and auto insurance eligibility, benefits, and claim details prior to appointments.
- Authorization Management: Secure necessary pre-authorizations and referrals in compliance with insurance requirements.
- High volume inbound and outbound medical appointment scheduling.
- Appointment Coordination: Schedule patient visits efficiently, aligning with provider availability and patient preferences high inbound and outbound calls.
- Communication & Documentation: Liaise with insurance companies, law offices, and internal teams; maintain accurate records in eClinicalWorks.
- Customer Service Excellence: Address patient inquiries regarding insurance and scheduling with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements:
- Must have (1-3) years of recent experience with personal injury cases and verifying auto insurance.
- High volume call center- inbound and outbound medical appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
- Must be MS Office proficient, able to use health record systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check required
- Drug screening required
