What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manager — Healthcare Projects (Owner-Side) position at Precision Scheduling Consultants?
We are delivering a multi-year healthcare program involving the renovation, expansion, and modernization of active medical facilities.
This is not a “build and walk away” environment.
This is live-site delivery—phased work, operational constraints, and zero tolerance for disruption.
We are hiring Construction Managers who can operate between Owner and Contractor, ensuring delivery is:
- Safe
- Coordinated
- Defensible
- Aligned with the Owner’s intent
- Act as the Owner’s field representative across all phases of construction
- Manage active healthcare environments
- Coordinate with contractors, designers, and stakeholders to maintain operational continuity
- Enforce contract compliance, including schedules, submittals, and deliverables
- Lead or support progress meetings, coordination meetings, and issue resolution
- Maintain clear, contemporaneous documentation (daily reports, meeting minutes, field observations)
- Identify and escalate risks early—before they become claims
- Support schedule validation and progress verification (CPM awareness required)
- Ensure Safety First culture is actively enforced on site
Baseline Requirements:
- 8–15 years of construction management experience
- Proven experience on healthcare projects (hospital, VA, or similar environments)
- Experience working on renovation/expansion of active facilities
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Phasing strategies
- Infection control (ICRA)
- Shutdown coordination
- Ability to operate between Owner and Contractor without bias
- Strong documentation discipline (this role requires defensible records, not just updates)
Highly Preferred:
- Government / Federal project experience
- VA (Veterans Affairs) project experience
- Familiarity with AIA / federal contract frameworks
- Exposure to CPM scheduling and progress validation
You don’t just “report status”—you understand:
- When a schedule is drifting vs when it’s breaking
- When coordination issues are noise vs signal
- How decisions today become claims tomorrow if not properly documented
- 2 × Construction Managers — Tampa, FL
- 2 × Construction Managers — Lake City / Jacksonville, FL
- Competitive salary full benefits
- Long-term program stability (3-year engagement)
- High-visibility healthcare program
- Opportunity to work on complex, high-impact facilities
- You’ve worked in healthcare environments, understand the pressure of operating facilities, and can maintain control without creating friction.
