About the Role:

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Principal Vehicle Platform Engineer in Marysville, OH to lead platform development for our next-generation Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) program, directing vehicle architectures, cross-functional engineering teams, and tier-1 supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical authority for FaaS vehicle platform architecture, integration, and performance.
• Oversee engineering teams, designers, and suppliers to deliver vehicle quality, safety, and reliability.
• Approve 3D CATIA models, technical drawings, FEA crash simulations, and system pass/no-pass criteria.
• Direct powertrain and chassis project milestones within scope, timeline, and multi-million dollar budgets.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across R&D, manufacturing, commercial fleet sales, and testing divisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or related STEM discipline).
• 12 years of automotive platform development experience, with demonstrated full-vehicle engineering leadership.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge across vehicle chassis, powertrain, electronics, and body structures.
• Proven track record managing complex engineering budgets, business plans, and supplier partnerships.
• Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder influence, and technical decision-making skills.
