MUST PASS DRUG SCREEN, BACKGROUND CHECK AND HAVE CDL LICENSE
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
- Load and unload freight with precision, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Drive on designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized trailers to prevent damage during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and tractor-trailers.
- Knowledge of different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning and adherence to schedules.
