Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge in all accounting fields.
- Must have experience with Quickbooks.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing financial reports.
- Assist with payroll management.
- Conduct data entry tasks with precision using tools like 10-key typing and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain reliable financial records.
- Contribute to internal controls by supporting SOX compliance efforts and assisting with audit preparations related to technical accounting issues.
Skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial concepts, and governmental accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software in-particular QuickBooks..
- Experience with payroll management systems such as Paychex or ADP; familiarity with payroll tax regulations is a plus.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation techniques for general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and balance sheet analysis.
- Ability to perform detailed data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for account analysis and budget support.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is advantageous; experience with financial software like Quicken or Financial Services tools is beneficial.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
