Position Summary
A growing primary care practice is seeking a licensed Radiologic Technologist to provide Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scanning services for body composition analysis and bone density assessments. The ideal candidate will operate independently, maintain compliance with all West Virginia radiologic regulations, and deliver professional patient care while performing accurate and reliable diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform DEXA scans for body composition and bone density evaluations.
- Ensure all imaging procedures are conducted in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, obtain necessary documentation, and explain procedures to patients.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain DEXA imaging equipment.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and reports for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Coordinate scheduling and onsite imaging services with practice staff.
- Provide exceptional patient service and maintain a professional clinical environment.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Radiologic Technologist license in the State of West Virginia.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience.
- Knowledge of DEXA scanning procedures, body composition analysis, and radiation safety standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience performing DEXA body composition and bone density scans.
- Existing independent imaging business or mobile diagnostic imaging service.
- Experience working in physician offices, wellness clinics, sports medicine, or primary care settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Education
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or related healthcare field preferred.
